With the feel of “true crime” dramas, that started in the 80s, Project U.F.O. revolves around a fictional division within the United States Air Force, tasked with investigating UFO sightings and encounters. The show follows the efforts of two officers, Captain Ben Ryan (Edward Winter) and Sergeant Harry Fitz (Caskey Swaim), as they investigate various UFO-related incidents. Their mission is to evaluate the validity of the sightings, determine whether there is a scientific explanation, and keep the truth hidden from the public when necessary (X-files fans should like this).

Each episode, following police investigation procedures (of the time), presents a new case for our personable military detectives. Captain Ryan and Sergeant Fitz collect evidence and hear eyewitness accounts of UFOs, discovering both government cover-ups, and encounters with extraterrestrial beings. The late 1970s saw a fascination with the unknown and Project U.F.O. in its storytelling combination of mystery, suspense, and scientific inquiry gave the public what it craved.

Today the internet is rife with reports and stories of unexplainable phenomena. Project U.F.O. predates everyone having such access to information, but you’ll find similar stories being highlighted.

Prince Planet is a 1965 anime series

Prince Planet is a series of stories about a young alien visiting earth. From a planet called Radion, in the English versions, he is curious about humans, and while learning about them, does what he can to protect them from evil forces. The classic animation style is monochrome with vibrant landscapes and character designs.

The central themes of the series revolve around friendship, bravery, and the importance of using technology for good. Always willing to help those in need, Prince Planet himself is a relatable and genuinely likeable character, who is curious about the world around him. The supporting cast of personalities, be they friend or foe, add depth and humor to the show.

The anime Wizards was released in 1977

The action scenes in Prince Planet are well-choreographed and feature exciting battles between the supernatural Prince and his enemies. There is an imaginative use of technology, such as the prince’s transforming spaceship and the various gadgets and weapons he uses. This fun, futuristic component to the series, makes it concurrent with the theme of amines of today, in spite of its lack of color.

One of the standout elements of Prince Planet is its catchy and upbeat theme song, written by Guy Hemric and Jerry Styner, who were better known for their Beach Party movie soundtracks. The song perfectly captures the adventurous spirit of the series. The show’s soundtrack is also noteworthy, with memorable and fitting tracks that add to the show’s overall atmosphere.

In conclusion, the classic anime series Prince Planet deserves recognition for its imaginative storytelling, memorable characters, and exciting action. Its themes of friendship, bravery, and the responsible use of technology still resonate with today’s audiences, creating a timeless and entertaining watch for fans of the sci-fi anime genre.

“V” The Final Battle miniseries is the conclusion to the original

“V” The Final Battle is a three part series made to conclude the popular “V” the original miniseries. The show, first aired in 1984, just a year after the original, while interest in the characters and the new sci-fi was high. This gripping series is a much needed follow up to the original, following a group of human rebels as they fight against an invading force of aliens who have taken over Earth.

“V” The Final Battle is the conclusion to the original mini series that aired in 1983.

One of the most enthralling aspects of “V: The Final Battle” is its ability to keep tensions high and maintain the sense of danger throughout the series. The aliens, known as Visitors, are portrayed as ruthless and powerful, and the human characters are constantly struggling to stay alive and resist their oppression. This makes for a thrilling and suspenseful viewing experience.

Pheromone Infused Soap Attracts Women

Like the original, “V” the Final Battle also does a great job of exploring themes of power, oppression, and resistance. It raises questions about what it means to be human, and the importance of standing up for oneself and others. The series also deals with the moral implications of fighting against an enemy, the importance of unity and the cost of freedom.

Perhaps the best reason to watch “V” the Final Battle is its triumphant outcome. The viewer is imbued with hope and optimism by the end, with the Visitors being defeated and the humans reclaiming their planet. The intense final battle is epic; a powerful reminder that even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds, the human spirit can triumph.

In conclusion, “V: The Final Battle” is a must-watch for fans of science fiction and political drama. Perhaps the most compelling message here is a reminder of what we seem to have lost as a society. In the age of superhero films; we forget that no-one is coming to save us from real life’s tyranny. When faced with an overwhelming foe, it is the strong who protect each other. Like the “V” miniseries, victory of the oppressed is dependent upon uniting our efforts, revealing our true enemy instead of letting them divide us into squabbling camps. As for the weak, they empower these dark forces and ultimately are it’s most numerable victims. So we should watch both the original “V” miniseries and its sequel, “V” the Final Battle, to learn how to recognize tyranny. Hope prevails when true heroes get involved to the best of their capacities, never expecting someone else to fight their battles for them. The only losers are those who self-righteously embrace oppression, because they will trading in their livelihood for someone else’s vision of how they should live (and die).

The classic An American Christmas Carol was born in 1979

There have been countless renditions of Charles Dickens’ classic story A Christmas Carol. Mostly these films or cartoon adaptions follow a simple formula about a greedy archetype who finds redemption one Christmas eve. Usually these versions of a Christmas Carol try to the do one of three things, stay true to the original Victorian tale, simplify story through comedy or cartoon adaption, or change everything but the archetype for a woke version of Dickens’ story. An American Christmas Carol released in 1979, does the rewrite differently. Sticking to the original premise, it changes the story by moving from Victorian era England to depression era USA. The same societal problems are present, but the change makes the story more relevant and timeless to American audiences, and because of this it is my very favorite rendition.

An American Christmas Carol stars Henry Winkler as Benedict Slade, once a lowly orphan struggling to fit in, who turns an apprenticeship opportunity into a quest for wealth and influence. Somewhere along the way, his fear of failure and lust for success drive him away from the love of his life, and he pours himself more into his work as his heart heartens. Finally in his old age, when the people around him struggle incessantly, he is visited by three spirits who show him the effect his misery business practice is having on people, including himself. Eyes opened, he vows to change his ways and immediately starts bringing joy to everyone he has been indifferent too

The show starred Michael Praed and Jason Connery as two different incarnations of the title character. Unlike previous adaptations of the Robin Hood legend, Robin of Sherwood combined a gritty, authentic production design with elements of real-life history, 20th century fiction, and pagan myth. Robin of Sherwood has been described by historian Stephen Knight as “the most innovative and influential version of the myth in recent times.” The series is also notable for its musical score by Clannad, which won a BAFTA award
