“V” the Original miniseries was released 1983 in two parts.

“V” the Original miniseries is a story is of a totalitarian alien race known as the Visitors, who come to Earth in seemingly peaceful ships and promise to share their advanced technology with humanity. Their arrival is worldwide, everyone is addressed in their own languages, and the aliens even look like us. However, as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that the Visitors have a sinister agenda, and a small group of human rebels must band together to stop them.

Created by Kenneth Johnson, “V” the Original miniseries and was a huge ratings success when it first aired. This led to a sequel movie series, “V” the Final Battle, a spin-off weekly series, and a 2008 reboot. The series is a science fiction classic, and it is still considered one of the most iconic and influential science fiction shows of all time. The lead actors, including Marc Singer, Faye Grant, and Jane Badler, all deliver strong performances and are able to convey the complex emotions and motivations of their characters. The Visitors themselves, portrayed by actors in alien makeup, are also extremely well-done and are able to convey a sense of otherness and menace.

Tension and suspense are slowly built up in “V” the Original miniseries. The Visitors’ true nature is slowly revealed, keeping the audience guessing to their true intentions, until the very end. Overall, “V” the Original miniseries is a classic science fiction tale, worthy of a watch today. The acting, special effects, and suspenseful story make it a compelling, but its exploration of political themes and questions of freedom and authority, make it a must see thought-provoking piece of science fiction. While it may have some flaws, the current political climate and worldwide recent power consolidations make it a series not to miss..

Wonder Woman

It’s probably really difficult to find a show more 1970s than Wonder Woman. Lynda Carter was a dish and although she’s as beautiful today as she was in the 70s it was back then that she made young men’s hearts race. However the best part of the show was that it originally was set in the 1940s during the 2nd world war.

Robin of Sherwood 1984

British television series, based on the legend of Robin Hood. Created by Richard Carpenter, it was produced by HTV in association with Goldcrest, and ran from 1984 to 1986 on the ITV network.

The show starred Michael Praed and Jason Connery as two different incarnations of the title character. Unlike previous adaptations of the Robin Hood legend, Robin of Sherwood combined a gritty, authentic production design with elements of real-life history, 20th century fiction, and pagan myth. Robin of Sherwood has been described by historian Stephen Knight as “the most innovative and influential version of the myth in recent times.” The series is also notable for its musical score by Clannad, which won a BAFTA award

He did several years in jail in order to go “deep undercover” in the organized crime business. This show focused on what it deep cover was like but it followed a soap opera format. The Rifleman

Set in the 1870s the show is a western that follows the adventures of a Civil War veteran McCain, played by Chuck Connors . The series gets its title from a Winchester Model 1892 rifle that was customized to allow repeated firing by cycling its lever action. The plot is enjoyable despite it being very much like any other “Western” with regards to good guys versus bad guys. For me the enjoyment is in seeing a non-politically correct story of men behaving like men.

He was the first breakout character in animated television. Yogi was created by Hanna-Barbera and he went on to become even more popular than Huckleberry Hound. In 1961, he was given his own show, The Yogi Bear Show, which was sponsored by Kellogg’s and included Snagglepuss and Yakky Doodle.
