This was a children’s television series, which was produced in 1971. This show is best summed up as silly…a quirky sketch comedy series that included some educational content within its zany humor. The show’s cast included Vincent Price, and Julius Sumner Miller (nb. Julius S. Miller was an American physicist and television personality on children’s shows during the late 1950s and into the 1970s.)

The gloomy setting amid monsters and a mad scientist is anything but frightening, as children learn to laugh at Igor, Dracula, the Wolfman DJ, a clumsy hunter and a menacing ape, whose interactions combine slap stick with word play puns.

I honestly can’t believe that I actually watched this movie and that I enjoyed it.

This is the story of a black detective in New York city called Shaft. He takes on the mafia to save a girl and it’s filled with every delightful stereo type of the era. I started out watching the show because I wanted to see what people wore back then but I got caught up in the characters. What can I say I just loved the stereo types. (And the men letting their testosterone run wild)
