]]> Set in the 1870s the show is a western that follows the adventures of a Civil War veteran McCain, played by Chuck Connors . The series gets its title from a Winchester Model 1892 rifle that was customized to allow repeated firing by cycling its lever action. The plot is enjoyable despite it being very much like any other “Western” with regards to good guys versus bad guys. For me the enjoyment is in seeing a non-politically correct story of men behaving like men.

He was the first breakout character in animated television. Yogi was created by Hanna-Barbera and he went on to become even more popular than Huckleberry Hound. In 1961, he was given his own show, The Yogi Bear Show, which was sponsored by Kellogg’s and included Snagglepuss and Yakky Doodle.

Who doesn’t love a bear that steal picnic baskets?
